A-Plus Release 4.22

A-Plus version 4.22 adds the following enhancements:

  • Attachment activity auditing for entries.
  • Accounting model enhancements.
  • Default downtime percentage for Availability events.
  • Updated Studio controls in A-Plus reports.
  • Entity-based filtering with entity variables in A-Plus Event Grid.

Note: Before upgrading, always make sure your Environment has met Explorer minimum hardware requirements, as these are constantly evolving as additional capabilities are added.

Attachment Activity Added to Auditing for Entries

Visibility into attachment-related changes has been improved by capturing attachment actions in the audit logs for entries.

When an attachment is added or removed, a single audit record is created containing details such as the date and time of the action, the user who performed it, the field name ("Attachment"), the action type ("Insert" or "Delete"), and the updated value showing the file name and description.

This enhancement improves traceability and accountability for attachment-related changes.

Accounting Model Enhancements

The event category functionality has been enhanced across key functional areas including Explorer, Server Management, Admin Tool, and Sentinel.

Accounting Model Selection for A-Plus Events

When creating new A-Plus events, the Event Type field has been replaced with Accounting Model selection.

For existing events, an option to change the accounting model has been added to the ellipsis (...) menu, allowing users to update the accounting model when required.

Accounting Model Configuration in Server Management

A new Accounting Models table has been added to A-Plus Global Settings in Server Management.

The table includes three default accounting models:

  • Loss
  • Gain
  • Availability

Users can create additional accounting models using the Add Accounting Model function by providing a name and selecting an event type. Both default and user-created accounting models can be edited.

Accounting Model-Based Cause Allocation

The Cause Allocation configuration in Admin Tool has been updated to support accounting model-based configuration.

Dedicated tabs are now available for each accounting model. Within each tab, users can allocate applicable equipment types for individual causes, enabling cause allocations to be managed separately for different accounting models.

Default Downtime Percentage Assigned for Availability Events

Newly created Availability events now default to 100% downtime in their transactions.

Previously, Availability events defaulted to 100% uptime, requiring users to manually adjust the Percentage field to correctly reflect downtime.

With this enhancement, downtime is allocated correctly by default, simplifying event creation and reducing manual updates.

Loss and Gain events remain unchanged.

Updated Studio Controls in A-Plus Reports

Studio controls available within A-Plus reports have been expanded to provide additional configuration capabilities.

The following controls are now available:

  • Pie Chart
  • Paging Control
  • Hierarchy
  • Hierarchy Picker
  • Entity Selector
  • Action Button
  • Selection List
  • Text Label

These additions provide greater flexibility when designing and configuring A-Plus reports.

Entity-Based Filtering with Entity Variables in A-Plus Event Grid

The A-Plus Event Grid now supports entity variables in entity-type filter fields.

When configuring entity filters, users can switch between fixed entity values and entity variables, allowing filters to update automatically when different entities are selected.

Entity filters support all comparison operators, including Equals, Not Equals, In and Not In.

Based on the selected comparison operator, the appropriate option of a single entity or an entity list is applied automatically.

This enhancement improves the flexibility of Event Grid filtering and supports more dynamic report configurations.
