This article applies to the Ribbon in version 4.4.1 of P2 Explorer. For help on the latest version of the Explorer Ribbon, see Explorer Ribbon<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The P2 Explorer Ribbon is the main way to access the functionality of P2 Explorer.<\/p>\n

The ribbon contains 3 main tabs (Home, View, Admin), along with 2 other context-sensitive tabs appearing as needed (Studio, Trend).<\/p>\n

Additional custom-built tabs may appear if they have been configured for an organisation. \u00a0<\/p>\n

If a function is unavailable, it will be greyed out.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The ribbon has the following structure:<\/p>\n

1. Ribbon buttons<\/strong><\/td>\nThe buttons on the ribbon provide access to P2 Explorer functionality.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
2. Active tab<\/strong><\/td>\nThe highlighted tab is the one that is currently selected.\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
3. Ribbon tabs<\/strong><\/td>\nFunctionality is grouped into different tabs on the ribbon. See the following sections for detailed information on each tab.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
4. Collapse button<\/strong><\/td>\nClicking the small arrow collapses the ribbon so that only the tabs are visible. To expand the ribbon again, simply click one of the tabs.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Home Tab<\/h2>\n

The Home tab provides access to the primary functions in P2 Explorer.<\/p>\n

<\/a><\/td>\nWorkspaces<\/strong><\/td>\nOpens the list of workspaces<\/a> and displays that you have permissions to view.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/a><\/td>\nSearch<\/strong><\/td>\nOpens the search screen, where you can search for pages and trends across all of P2 Explorer.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/a><\/td>\nEnvironment<\/strong><\/td>\nOpens the My Environment<\/a> page, where you can see all your private pages and trends, as well as pages that have been submitted for publishing.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
<\/a><\/td>\nNew Trend<\/strong><\/td>\nOpens a blank trend. From here, you can add tags or attributes, and change the default sampling.

The View tab provides easy access to Hierarchies and Tags from P2 Server.\u00a0<\/p>\n

The Admin tab is only available to users with administrator<\/span> roles, and contains various administrative functions.<\/p>\n
