\"P2_RGB<\/p>\n

P2 Server 4.5 is the engine that powers data retrieval<\/strong> from a variety of disparate sources, with built-in relationship models<\/strong> based on a Data Dictionary. P2 Server is how you get your data, transform it into more useful data, and then serve it up to other applications such as P2 Explorer or P2 Sentinel, for further analysis.<\/p>\n

Release 4.5.2 adds a timeout setting when creating datasources, and addresses some issues found in previous releases.<\/p>\n

Datasource Timeout Controls<\/h2>\n

Two new configuration parameters have been added to both tag and dataset datasources, which provide timeout options for the datasource. There are separate timeouts for adaptor initialisation and data fetch calls.<\/p>\n

Initialisation Timeout<\/strong>: Applies to the initialisation of an adaptor, when it first connects to a datasource. This is the same as the Init_Timeout setting used in P2 Explorer 2.6.x.<\/p>\n

Request Timeout<\/strong>: Applies to all other operations against the datasource, such as tag fetch. It is similar to the Submit_Timeout setting used in P2 Explorer 2.6.x.<\/p>\n
