For help on earlier versions, see <a href=\"#Release_History\">Release History<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Overview<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Explorer shows page data errors in design mode and in display mode, and also in a tag or attribute value\u2019s Point Detail page.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">For example, if there is a data request for too many data points (exceeding a configured limit), an error is returned. Another example is a data error that is returned when a page component references a data item that does not exist (such as an entity that is not defined in the referenced hierarchy).<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Explorer helps you to identify the data errors and where they are originating within a page, by displaying a list of error items.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Causes of Errors<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Errors in Explorer are commonly caused by any of the following:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>A data item does not exist.<\/li>\n<li>Too many data points have been requested (exceeding a configured limit). For more details, refer to the troubleshooting topic: <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/explorer-troubleshooting\/fetch-request-was-declined\/\">Fetch Request Was Declined<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>A calculation has been incorrectly configured.<\/li>\n<li>An image has been deleted in P2 Server.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">What Errors Look Like<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">In Explorer, errors may appear in the following places.<\/p>\n<h3>Page<\/h3>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">When there is an error on an Explorer page itself, you may see any of the following messages:<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td style=\"padding-left: 5px;\"><strong>No Data<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>A source of data has not been configured for a page component.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td style=\"padding-left: 5px;\"><strong>XXX<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>An error occurred when attempting to return data.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td style=\"padding-left: 5px;\"><strong><span style=\"color: #000000;\"><b>File Not Found<\/b><\/span><\/strong><\/td>\n<td>A file (such as an image) has been deleted from the system, so it is unable to be displayed.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td style=\"padding-left: 5px;\"><strong>..<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>In a component such as a combo box, this indicates that a value has not been pre-selected (no default value has been configured).\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/error-combo.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><br \/>\n <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/error-combo.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-34229\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/12\/error-combo.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"18\" height=\"16\" \/><\/a><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td style=\"padding-left: 5px;\"><strong>...<\/strong><\/td>\n<td>Data is in the process of loading. This can take some time if a lot of data is being fetched or if the network is slow.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<h4>Data Errors on a Page<\/h4>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The Explorer ribbon contains a button that highlights data errors.\u00a0The Data Errors button is available on the following ribbon tabs:\u00a0Page, Studio, Page Preview, and Details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">If there are no data errors, the Data Errors button on the ribbon is made unavailable.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><a error item in the Data Errors window contains the name of the component (e.g. <em>Data<\/em> <em>Label<\/em>), the property that is experiencing the error (e.g. <em>Value<\/em>), and a brief description of the error.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">When you hover over an item in the Data Errors list, the component that has that particular error is highlighted in blue on the A detailed message appears in the Test box, and you can view the help for a specific calculation for more information on the errors.<\/p>\n<p><a
