There are two options for saving trends.\u00a0The\u00a0Save As<\/strong> option is used for saving the trend to a specified name and workspace. The Save<\/strong> option is used to save to the current trend name and workspace. Both options are found\u00a0in the Save<\/strong> button drop-down list.<\/p>\n

Saving a New Trend<\/h2>\n

On the Trend<\/strong> toolbar, select the Save<\/strong> option from the Save<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down list.<\/p>\n

The Save Trend<\/strong> window opens. Type in a Name<\/em> for your trend and save to My Workspace<\/em> or select a workspace from the drop-down list. The options available in the Save Trend Window may vary based on the type of Workspace selected.<\/p>\n

You can also click Create new workspace<\/strong> to save the trend to a new workspace.<\/p>\n

Save Trend as a Template Link<\/h3>\n

Saving a trend as a template link allows you to create a reusable link that automatically appears in the ribbon whenever an entity associated with that template is selected for context. This makes it easier to access relevant trends quickly.<\/p>\n

1. Check the Save this as a Template<\/strong> option.<\/p>\n

2. This will reveal the following additional fields: Template, Link Name, and Link Group. Fill in the fields as appropriate.<\/p>\n

3. Click Save<\/strong> to complete the process.<\/p>\n

4. Once you save the Trend as a Template Link and open an entity associated with that template, the trend will appear in the ribbon<\/strong>\u00a0using the\u00a0Link Name<\/strong>\u00a0you provided.<\/p>\n

Saving a Named Trend<\/h2>\n

On the Trend<\/strong> toolbar, click the Save<\/strong> button and then click Save.<\/strong><\/p>\n

The trend is saved with your current selections.<\/p>\n

Saving a Copy of a Trend<\/h2>\n

On the Trend<\/strong> toolbar, select the Save As<\/strong> option from the Save<\/strong>\u00a0drop-down list.<\/p>\n

The Save Trend As<\/strong> window opens.<\/p>\n

The trend name will automatically appear as the previously saved name followed by \u201c-copy\u201d<\/strong>. You can\u00a0edit the trend name<\/strong>\u00a0before saving, if needed.<\/p>\n

To edit the name, type in a Name<\/em> for your trend and save to My Workspace<\/em> or select a workspace from the drop-down list. Click Create new workspace<\/strong> to save the trend to a new workspace.<\/p>\n

The copied trend is saved.<\/p>\n

Note:<\/strong> You can take a snapshot<\/a> of a saved trend, and you can share a link<\/a> of a new (unsaved) trend or a named trend.<\/p>\n
