values on a <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/using-the-page-controls\/charts\/\">chart<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/trends\/creating-a-trend\/\">trend<\/a>, at a particular point in time.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Hairline Features<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The hairline shows:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>The timestamp of the data point<\/li>\n<li>The current value of the trace or series<\/li>\n<li>The name of the trace or series<\/li>\n<li>Comments (if enabled)<\/li>\n<li>The difference between hairline values (for two or more hairlines)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/02\/hairline455.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-36693 information box is coloured to match the colour of the trace\/series.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Initially, the information box shows only 3 items: the data value, the value difference, and the comment icon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Note: The\u00a0<strong>Value Difference<\/strong>\u00a0is only displayed when there are two or more hairlines.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">When you hover over interpolation for values in hairlines is <em>Last Known Value<\/em>.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>If a series\/trace contains no value (or a null value), the information box will not appear.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>The comment icon is only visible when comments have been enabled in the <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/explorer-studio\/controls\/charts\/#Other\">chart<\/a> or <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/trends\/creating-a-trend\/#Tutorial_4_Hairline_and_Comments\">trend<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 right.<\/li>\n<li>When you move hairlines so that they approach each other, the information box flips so that the values are not obscured.\n<p><a
