Pre-Processing Errors<\/h2>\n
Pre-processing errors relate to the way the file is structured. There are 3 outcomes to pre-processing errors:<\/p>\n

- The file cannot be imported.\u00a0<\/li>\n
- The file will be imported\u00a0with warnings.<\/li>\n
- The file will be imported, but one or more worksheets may not import due to structural errors.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

During pre-processing, your spreadsheet<\/strong> will be rejected if:<\/p>\n
- \n
- The\u00a0file extension is not .xlsx.<\/li>\n
- Your spreadsheet is empty.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
During pre-processing, your\u00a0spreadsheet\u00a0<\/strong>will raise a warning if:<\/p>\n
- \n
- The file does not have a file version<\/li>\n
- The file version does not match the current file version of IFS OI Server<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
<\/p>\n
During pre-processing, a\u00a0worksheet<\/strong>\u00a0will be rejected if:<\/p>\n
- \n
- A required column is missing.<\/li>\n
- The first cell is empty.<\/li>\n
- A worksheet is empty.<\/li>\n
- There are no columns or rows in the worksheet.<\/li>\n
- A duplicate column exists.<\/li>\n
- An Object Type is missing.<\/li>\n
- An Object Type is not valid.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

During pre-processing, a\u00a0worksheet\u00a0<\/strong>will raise a warning if:<\/p>\n

- A\u00a0column name is not recognised.<\/li>\n
- A\u00a0column heading is blank.<\/li>\n
- A non-required column is missing<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n
Import Errors<\/h2>\n
Errors that occur during import relate to invalid data in the data cells. If invalid data is encountered, the worksheet will not be imported.<\/p>\n
Invalid data errors appear when:<\/p>\n
- \n
- A required cell is blank.<\/li>\n
- A boolean data type is not true<\/em> or false<\/em>.<\/li>\n
- A datetime data type is not\u00a0a UTC date in ISO-8601 format or 'NULL'.<\/li>\n
- A duration data type is not in the duration<\/a> format.<\/li>\n
- A decimal data type is not a valid decimal number.<\/li>\n
- A duration data type has been entered as longer than\u00a010,600,000 days.<\/li>\n
- A cell contains reserved characters<\/a>.<\/li>\n
- A whole\u00a0number data type does not contain a valid whole number.<\/li>\n
- A nullable whole number data type does not contain a valid whole number or is not blank.<\/li>\n
- A timezone data type is not a valid timezone.<\/li>\n
- The worksheet\u00a0did not have any valid data to import.\u00a0<\/li>\n
- A foreign key is missing.<\/li>\n
- Internal validation errors in the database, such as a minimum value is greater than a maximum value.<\/li>\n
- A mandatory required column or column section has not been filled in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Import\u00a0Warnings<\/h2>\n
During import, warnings may occur which result in some columns or sections not being imported, or other errors occurring.<\/p>\n
A column will not be imported if:<\/p>\n
- \n
- IFS OI Server does not recognise the column heading.<\/li>\n
- A column does not have a heading.<\/li>\n
- An optional column or column section has not been filled in.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

Note:<\/strong> If the version of the import file does not match the version currently stored in IFS OI Server, the spreadsheet will still be imported, but errors may occur.<\/p>\n
