There are 2 ways of doing this:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Sharing a\u00a0link to a trend through the P2 Explorer framework. <br \/>\n You can link to a saved trend or a blank trend.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>Creating a dynamic trend by manually entering a\u00a0URL.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Security considerations<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>When you share a saved trend, it will only be visible to people who have permission to view the workspace in which it is saved.\u00a0<\/li>\n<li>People who do not have permission to view the included tags or attributes will not be able to view data for those tags or attributes.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"left-bar\">Related: <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/explorer-integration\/link-to-a-frameless-explorer-page\/\">Linking to a Page<\/a><\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Option 1. Sharing a\u00a0link through Explorer<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The simplest way of linking to a trend is by clicking the <strong>Share Link<\/strong> <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/shareicon.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-4161\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/shareicon.png\" alt=\"shareicon\" width=\"14\" height=\"13\" \/><\/a>\u00a0button on the Trend ribbon tab. The GUID is represented with a long sequence of letters and numbers. E.g.\u00a0<strong>\/Guid\/5a594800-c01f-4f8f-a184-b390317842e6<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The number after the GUID (e.g. <strong>\/5<\/strong>) represents the current state of the trend, which is saved in the database with an incrementing ID every time this dialog box is opened.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend.png\" rel=\"lightbox-2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"border-image alignnone wp-image-15156 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend.png\" alt=\"Share saved trend\" width=\"549\" height=\"295\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend.png 549w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend-150x81.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend-24x13.png 24w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend-36x19.png 36w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/06\/sharesavedtrend-48x26.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 549px) 100vw, 549px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">You will notice the <strong>Frameless URL<\/strong> check box is automatically selected. This automatically appends\u00a0<strong>?frameless<\/strong> to the URL, which forces the link to open outside of the P2 Explorer framework\u00a0(frameless). Frameless means that only the trend is displayed; there is no header or ribbon. If you want the URL to open within the Explorer framework, clear this check box.<\/p>\n<h4>Blank Trends<\/h4>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">You can also share a trend that has not been saved - this is often called a \"dynamic trend\". Blank trends can be shared with anyone (tag permissions apply).\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Blank trends do not have a GUID, rather they are identified by the state of the trend's variables, represented by the number\u00a0after the trend\u00a0(e.g. <strong>\/8<\/strong>). Dynamic trend via URL<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">You can choose to share a dynamic trend via a URL, which uses a list of variables to specify the tags on the trend and the state of the options. This\u00a0allows you to link to a trend with certain\u00a0options already selected, such as time range, sample interval, etc.<\/p>\n<h3>How the URL is constructed<\/h3>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The standard format of the trend URL is as follows:<\/p>\n<p><code>[Explorer URL]\/trend<span style=\"color: #0000dd;\">?[variable list]&amp;frameless<\/span><\/code><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To use\u00a0a variable in the URL, add a question mark <strong>?<\/strong> followed by the list of variables in the format\u00a0<strong>variable\u00a0name=variable\u00a0value<\/strong>.
