Every component has one or more <strong>pins <\/strong>\u2013 coloured square boxes. On some components, one or more of the output pins may also be a flow pin.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Input pins<\/strong><br \/>\nInput pins are used to define the values to be processed by the component. If a component has multiple input pins, all input pins should be used for the user process to be <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/sentinel\/sentinel-studio\/creating-user-processes\/validating-the-logic-of-a-process\/\">valid<\/a>, unless otherwise specified (refer to the help for the relevant <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/sentinel\/sentinel-studio\/component-logic-functions\/\">component<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Output pins<\/strong><br \/>\nOutput pins represent the value that is output after the <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/sentinel\/sentinel-studio\/sentinel-studio-features\/inputs\/\">inputs<\/a> are processed by the component. Outputs can be used as inputs to another component.
