This is required for validation and for the parameter to appear in the <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/sentinel\/sentinel-studio\/creating-user-processes\/using-the-ui-editor\/\">UI editor<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dl-term\">Parameter Type<\/p>\n<p class=\"dl-def\">The parameter type determines what component you can link to. Available types are: numeric, Boolean, text, time period, selection.<\/p>\n<p class=\"dl-term\">Width<\/p>\n<p class=\"dl-def\">This determines the width of the field in the Sentinel UI. The default width is 150px.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Once you have selected the parameter, you can use the UI editor (<em>View &gt; UI Editor<\/em>) to configure the labels and layout that is to appear in Sentinel.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Example 1<\/strong>: Temperature limits specified using constants.
