A System Variable provides data to a process component. System variables allow access to the system states and other information that is captured during processing.<\/p>\n

You can then use these variables as inputs to other components that have a matching data type.<\/p>\n

The following system variables are available (the default is Entity<\/a>):<\/p>\n

Each variable has a different data type, as follows:<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Variable<\/th>\nDescription<\/th>\nData Type<\/th>\n<\/tr>\n<\/thead>\n
Entity<\/strong><\/td>\nThe name of the entity.<\/td>\nString<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Asset<\/strong><\/td>\nThe name of the asset.<\/td>\nString<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Current State<\/strong><\/td>\nThe current state of the entity.<\/td>\nString<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Previous State<\/strong><\/td>\nThe previous state of the entity.<\/td>\nString<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Fetch Start<\/strong><\/td>\nThe date and time that the current processing period started.<\/td>\nDateTime<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Fetch End<\/strong><\/td>\nThe date and time that the current processing period finished.<\/td>\nDateTime<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n
