You will need to consider the following aspects:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>What is the <strong>purpose<\/strong> of the process?<\/li>\n<li>What types of <strong>data<\/strong> are expected to be processed?<\/li>\n<li>What <strong>events<\/strong> and <strong>states<\/strong> are expected to be raised?<\/li>\n<li>What are the <strong>reasons<\/strong> for the expected events?<\/li>\n<li>What are the <strong>rules<\/strong> that govern how the events are raised?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">It may be useful to first create a flowchart to construct the logic of the process, before attempting to build it in Sentinel Studio.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">It's important to note that, while a flowchart does not provide a one-to-one mapping of the components you would use, it does serve to clarify the process flow and indicate the type of components that might be used. For example, a decision point might indicate that a data stream might need to be split using a <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/sentinel\/sentinel-studio\/component-logic-functions\/flow\/\">Boolean splitter<\/a>, or it might indicate a merging of two data streams. If the value is higher than 60, an <strong>event<\/strong> is triggered and the <strong>state<\/strong> of the entity is changed.
