It can be used to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Create common, repeatable calculations that can be shared between processes.<\/li>\n<li>Simplify the appearance of a process in the Logic Editor.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To add a sub-module:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">1. Open or create a new user process.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">2. In the <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/sentinel\/sentinel-studio\/creating-user-processes\/using-the-logic-editor\/\">Logic Editor<\/a>, right-click and select <strong>Sub-Module<\/strong> from the shortcut menu.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The sub-module component is added.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-2.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-42991 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-2.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"86\" height=\"50\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-2.png 86w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-2-24x14.png 24w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-2-36x21.png 36w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-2-48x28.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 86px) 100vw, 86px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"left-bar\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">Note: It's a good idea to assign a relevant name (in the component's properties) to the sub-module.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">3. Double-click the sub-module component to open it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">When you open a sub-module, the validation toolbar displays a breadcrumb trail with the name of the Sub-Module, and the <strong>Back<\/strong> button is activated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70.png\" rel=\"lightbox-1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-43113 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70.png\" alt=\"\" width=\"308\" height=\"222\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70.png 308w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70-150x108.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70-24x17.png 24w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70-36x26.png 36w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/12\/word-image-70-48x35.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 308px) 100vw, 308px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\">The Logic Editor also changes to display three components that are required by sub-modules:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Flow In<\/strong>: The data flow entry point into this sub-module. This is optional and depends on the external logic. For example, if you want the main process to start at the sub-module, you would attach the Start component to the sub-module's Flow In component.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>In<\/strong>: The input value that is to be compared against the Flow In data stream.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\" style=\"padding-left: 30px;\"><strong>Out<\/strong>: The value that the sub-module will output.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">4.
