This article applies to version 4.16 and later of IFS OI Explorer. Note, some screenshots on this page may be of earlier versions of Explorer. For help on earlier versions, see Release History<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The Report - Grid component allow users to view entries in a workbook. This component is part of Shift Log, and is configured in a similar way to the entry components<\/a>. There are minor differences in the way the components are used, but configuration is the same.<\/p>\n

The Shift Handover component has been renamed Report - Grid.<\/p>\n

The Report - Grid component can be used to create a Shift Handover report by adding the component one or more times, and configuring it to display entries stored against the forms you are interested in. Although you can add a Report - Grid component to any page in a workbook, only one page can be nominated as the Handover Report for that workbook (this is done in Workbook Settings<\/a>).<\/p>\n

The Report - Grid component has the following configuration options<\/a>, some of which are only available under select conditions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n
Table Title<\/b><\/td>\nA shift handover report is typically composed of several sections. The Table Title allows you to specify the heading for the table to be displayed in this section of the report.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Report - Grid Type<\/b><\/td>\nThe type of Form to be displayed in this section: General Entry, Case Entry, Log Entry, or Summary.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Report - Grid Form<\/b><\/td>\nThe Form<\/a> from which entries are being shown. This contains the fields<\/a> than will be displayed in the report.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Sort By<\/b><\/td>\nBy default, the entries are shown according to the created date (or event time for log entries). You can change this to sort by another field or in reverse order.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Group By<\/b><\/td>\nBy default, entries are shown in a flat list. You can choose any field from the chosen Form to group the entries by.\u00a0<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Grouping Method<\/b><\/a><\/td>\nEntries grouped by datetime<\/em>, list<\/em> and user<\/em> data type fields can be grouped by different methods.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Workbooks<\/b><\/td>\nIf the Report - Grid Type is Log Entry, <\/em>log entries created in the same form selected in Report - Grid Form, but in different workbooks, can be added to the report. These entries are \"gotten from\" the other workbooks.
\nThis is done by selecting the relevant workbooks in the Workbooks<\/em> field. Multiple workbooks can be selected.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Entry Types<\/b><\/td>\nWith summary forms you can select which entry types to display in the report.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Include Report Header<\/b><\/td>\nSelect this checkbox to include the report title and shift information. This only needs to be added once per report, to the first form you include.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Report Title<\/b><\/td>\nThe title of the handover report, as shown in the report header.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Filters<\/strong><\/a><\/td>\nFilter the data shown in the table according to your criteria on the available fields.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Table View<\/strong><\/a><\/td>\nReorder the columns in the table, change their width or label, or hide them.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

Tutorial: Configuring a Handover Report that Includes 2 Forms<\/span><\/h2>\n

This tutorial builds on the entry components<\/a> tutorial.\u00a0<\/p>\n

When constructing a Handover Report, you will usually want to include information from a number of forms from the same workbook. In this tutorial, we\u2019ll show you how to configure a shift handover report containing 2 Report - Grid components: one to display HSE issues for Area 1 and another to display entries from a different form. At the end of the tutorial, your workbook should look something like this:<\/p>\n
