Here is what you can do with the filtering options:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Apply a previously-saved filter, by choosing it from the drop-down list in the top right.<\/li>\n<li>Save a new filter, by clicking the Save Filter button at the bottom left.<\/li>\n<li>Reset the criteria back to blank, by clicking the Clear Filter button at the top. To filter on a field, first choose the field, then set the type of comparison you want to make, and then state the value that you want the filter to meet.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The filter criteria can be grouped into sections. For each <strong>Filter Group<\/strong>, all of the criteria within the group must be met for the filter to work (each criteria is a logical AND operation).<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">However, the filter groups themselves act as a logical OR operation, where <em>any<\/em> of the filter groups can be true for the filter to return a value.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Watch the following video to see how to apply filters and filter groups.<\/p>\n\r\n\t<!-- Begin Video.js -->\r\n\t<video id=\"example_video_id_1020404872\" class=\"video-js vjs-default-skin\" width=\"1000\" height=\"500\" controls preload=\"auto\" loop data-setup='[]'>\r\n\t\t<source src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/videos\/filter-group.mp4\" type='video\/mp4' \/>\r\n\t\t\r\n\t\t\r\n\t<\/video>\r\n\t<!-- End Video.js -->\r\n\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Saving a Filter<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">After you have defined a filter on a log, you can save that filter to use again whenever that log\u2019s form is used in a workbook. There are 2 ways to do this:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Clear Filter<\/strong>: Click the <em>Clear Filter<\/em> button to reset the filter dialog to a blank state. You can then create a new filter.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Clear and Close<\/strong>: Click the <em>Clear &amp; Close<\/em> button to reset the filter and close the dialog.
