A-Plus, Case Management and Shift Log each have an Entries Table. Each table is customised to suit the individual application's requirements and displays a list of entries that is specific to the particular application.<\/p>\n

Entries are used in A-Plus<\/a>, Case Management<\/a> and Shift Log<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Each entry in the table is made up of a number of compulsory and optional data fields which are displayed as columns. These entries can be sorted and filtered according to viewing and reporting requirements.<\/p>\n

Layout<\/h2>\n

The main parts of the Entries Table are:<\/p>\n

Sorting and Grouping Entries<\/h2>\n

All columns in the Entries Table can be sorted by Ascending, Descending, or Group.<\/p>\n

Sorting options can be applied to one, or multiple columns at any one time.<\/p>\n

To sort on a column data field:<\/p>\n

1. Click on the arrow on the right side of a column title block.<\/p>\n

2. Select a sort option.<\/p>\n

Ascending<\/strong><\/td>\n\n

Varies with data type.<\/p>\n

  • Text Fields - alphanumeric order with numbers having priority over letters.<\/li>\n
  • Number fields - numerical order.<\/li>\n
  • Date and time fields - the most recent date\/time is at the top of the list.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Descending<\/strong><\/td>\nThe reverse of the Ascending option.<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
Group<\/strong><\/td>\n\n

Entries are grouped with others of the same type.<\/p>\n

Applying the Group action overrides the sort precedence, with grouping always being applied first.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

When a sort is applied to multiple columns, the first column sorted has the highest precedence in the sort order, and the second column sorted has the second highest precedence. As more columns are sorted, the order of precedence continues to be allocated sequentially.<\/p>\n
