You can export some or all of the public workspaces, folders, monitors and event views from a Sentinel environment. The exported package can then be used to import some or all of these workspaces, folders, monitors and event views to another Sentinel environment.<\/p>\n

To export from Sentinel:<\/p>\n

1. Click the Menu<\/strong> button below the Sentinel header.<\/p>\n

2. Click Import\/Export<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Note: This menu option only appears to users who have import or export permissions.<\/p>\n

The Import\/Export<\/strong> window appears.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

3. Click the Export<\/strong> panel.<\/p>\n

Note: This panel is not available if you do not have permissions to export from a Sentinel environment.<\/p>\n

The Export<\/strong> tab opens.<\/p>\n

<\/p>\n

All of the public workspaces appear in a tree, on the right side panel, named Select the items to export<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

4. Select the workspaces, folders, monitors and event views that you want to export (see Making Selections<\/a>).<\/p>\n

5. When you have selected all of the monitors, folders and workspaces that you want to export, prepare the export package.<\/p>\n

  1. In the Migration Package panel, on the left of the Export tab, type a description in the Description<\/strong> box, to be used as the migration package file name.<\/li>\n
  2. Deselect the Create zip package<\/strong> check box if you want to create a non-zip file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    <\/p>\n

    Note: The package version number for the Sentinel version that you are exporting from is displayed in the lower half of the Migration Package panel.<\/p>\n

    6. Click Export<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

    A Save As<\/strong> dialog box opens.<\/p>\n

    1. Navigate to the folder where you want to save the file.<\/li>\n
    2. Type a file name in the File name<\/strong> box.<\/li>\n
    3. Click Save<\/strong> to save the file.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

      A dialog appears to confirm that the export completed successfully.<\/p>\n

      7. Click OK<\/strong> to close the dialog.<\/p>\n
