Thus, there may be no event notification label for a monitor (if, for example, the current event options is set to show events that started today, and no current events actually started today); however, you can still view current events that started before today in the events grid.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Events Grid<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The events grid (when viewed from the events page) displays the current event state of every test item for the selected monitors.<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li class=\"intro-text\">To close the page, click the close <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"12\" height=\"15\" class=\"wp-image-59302\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/word-image-58855-8.png\" \/> icon next to the page name.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The events grid consists of the following columns:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Leftmost column<\/strong>:\u00a0This column has buttons to expand <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"9\" height=\"9\" class=\"wp-image-59303\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/word-image-58855-9.png\" \/> or collapse <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"9\" height=\"9\" class=\"wp-image-59304\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/word-image-58855-10.png\" \/> the event details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Monitor<\/strong>:\u00a0The name of a monitor that has tests with current events.\u00a0Note: This column is only displayed for Workspace Events and Folder Events.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Asset<\/strong>:\u00a0The name of an asset that has a current event; you can view the asset reports from here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Entity<\/strong>:\u00a0The name of the entity that defined the asset.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>State<\/strong>:\u00a0The state that was reached to raise the current event displayed.\u00a0Note: Where state override has been applied in the state configuration, the override state is displayed here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Severity<\/strong>:\u00a0The configured state severity of the event that was raised.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Start Time<\/strong>:\u00a0The start time of the event; this is the time that the data reached a value to cause the current event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>End Time<\/strong>:\u00a0The end time of the event.\u00a0Note: This time is only known and displayed in the event log.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Status<\/strong>: This column only appears if Case Management is configured.\u00a0An event has three possible statuses, relating to case management:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li><strong>Unknown<\/strong>:\u00a0This is for an event that either hasn\u2019t raised a case, or there is a case that is still in the <strong>New<\/strong> or <strong>Investigating <\/strong>status (in Explorer).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Valid<\/strong>:\u00a0The event has raised a case which has the <strong>Confirmed<\/strong> status (in Explorer).<\/li>\n<li><strong>Invalid<\/strong>:\u00a0The event has raised a case which has the <strong>Rejected<\/strong> status (in Explorer).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>State Duration<\/strong>:\u00a0The duration of the current event<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Test<\/strong>:\u00a0The name of a test that has test items with current events<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Comments<\/strong>:\u00a0The total number of event comments is displayed here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Most Recent Comment<\/strong>:\u00a0The most recent event comment is displayed here.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The events grid appearance can be manipulated in the following ways:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li class=\"intro-text\">You can sort most of the columns in the grid.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">You can group by a column header for the following columns:<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Monitor<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Test<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Asset<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Entity<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">State<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Severity<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Status<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Filtering Events<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Most of the column headers offer the ability to filter data according to specified criteria:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">You can filter on any of the columns that have a filter <a id=\"post-58855-O_16144\"><\/a> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"12\" height=\"13\" class=\"wp-image-59305\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/word-image-58855-11.png\" \/> icon in the header.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Exporting Events<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To export the event list for workspace events, folder events, or monitor events:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Click the <strong>Export to Excel<\/strong> <a id=\"post-58855-O_16374\"><\/a> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"13\" height=\"17\" class=\"wp-image-59306\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/word-image-58855-12.png\" \/> button, at the upper right of the tab, to export the events.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The events are exported to a Microsoft \u00ae Excel \u00ae spreadsheet.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Refreshing Events<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The event for any entity will continue (as recorded in State Duration) until a state change causes a new event.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Refresh the events page to see the latest State Duration figure for a continuing event, or to view new event details.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Click the <strong>Refresh <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"17\" height=\"17\" class=\"wp-image-59307\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/word-image-58855-13.png\" \/><\/strong> button at the upper right of the tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The latest event information appears on the tab.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Editing Events<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To edit an event:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">1. To change the state, select a new <strong>State<\/strong> from the drop-down list.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">4. To change the severity, select a new <strong>Severity<\/strong> from the drop-down list.\u00a0Note: You cannot change the severity of the <strong>Default<\/strong> state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">5.
