The <strong>Save Monitor<\/strong> dialog box opens.<\/li>\n<li>Add a comment.<br \/>\nType a comment in the <strong>Comment<\/strong> box.<br \/>\nor<br \/>\nClick <strong>Recent Comments<\/strong>, to use or refer to recent comments.<\/p>\n<p>The <strong>Recent Comments<\/strong> window shows a list of your ten most recent comments (de-duplicated) for saved monitors<br \/>\n<img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"437\" height=\"292\" class=\"wp-image-59770\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-2.png\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-2.png 437w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-2-150x100.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-2-48x32.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 437px) 100vw, 437px\" \/><\/li>\n<li>To use a comment, click on the comment in the list, then click <strong>OK<\/strong>.<br \/>\nThe Recent Comments window closes, and the selected recent comment appears in the <strong>Comment<\/strong> box, overwriting any text that was already there.<\/li>\n<li>Type additional text in the <strong>Comment<\/strong> box, if necessary.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>OK<\/strong> to save.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The monitor is saved with full version details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Note: If change management is configured, this is a minor version only.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Save a Monitor without Comments<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">If monitor comments are not allowed (as specified in the Sentinel configuration file):<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li class=\"intro-text\">Click <strong>Save<\/strong>, at the upper left of the tab.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The monitor is saved with full version details.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Note: If change management is configured, this is a minor version only.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Versions<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Every time a monitor is saved, the version details are saved, and displayed in the <strong>Versions<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"15\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59771\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-3.png\" \/> panel on the monitor page.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1026\" height=\"491\" class=\"wp-image-59772\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/c-users-gxl1129-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml25d425.png\" alt=\"C:\\Users\\gxl1129\\AppData\\Local\\Temp\\SNAGHTML25d42551.PNG\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/c-users-gxl1129-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml25d425.png 1026w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/c-users-gxl1129-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml25d425-768x368.png 768w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/c-users-gxl1129-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml25d425-150x72.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/c-users-gxl1129-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml25d425-600x287.png 600w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/c-users-gxl1129-appdata-local-temp-snaghtml25d425-48x23.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 1026px) 100vw, 1026px\" \/><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Version<\/strong>:\u00a0The version number starts at one. Every time a monitor is saved, the version number is incremented by 1.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Note: If change management is configured, this is a <strong>minor<\/strong> version and is incremented by 0.1. Each <strong>major<\/strong> version is incremented by 1.0. A minor version needs to be approved before it changes to a major version.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>User<\/strong>: The user name of the person who saved the monitor.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Time<\/strong>: The date and time that the monitor was saved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Comment<\/strong>: The user comment that was added when the monitor was saved.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Note: Comments can only be added if they are enabled in the Sentinel configuration file.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Review State<\/strong>: This is only applicable where change management is configured. The possible review states are:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Approved<\/strong>:\u00a0The version is <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59773\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-5.png\" \/> approved. To see the approval details (approver, date, and comment), hover the mouse over the information <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59774\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-6.png\" \/> icon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Submitted for Approval<\/strong>:\u00a0This monitor has been submitted for approval. If you decide you do not want the monitor to be submitted after all, click the <strong>Unsubmit <\/strong><strong><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"15\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59775\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-7.png\" \/><\/strong> button.<\/p>\n<p class=\"note\">Note: You cannot change a monitor while it is in a submitted state.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Rejected<\/strong>:\u00a0The version is <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59776\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-8.png\" \/> rejected. To see the rejection details (approver, date, and comment), hover the mouse over the information <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59777\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-9.png\" \/> icon.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Not Submitted<\/strong>:\u00a0The version has not been submitted. If this is the latest version: to submit, click the <strong>Submit for Approval<\/strong> <img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"16\" height=\"16\" class=\"wp-image-59778\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/03\/word-image-58917-10.png\" \/> button.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Saving a monitor that is Pending Approval<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">You cannot save a monitor that is awaiting approval. Either unsubmit the monitor, or wait for it to be approved, before trying to save any changes.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Saving a Monitor with Recent Changes<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">If you make changes to a monitor and it is then approved or saved by another user, you will not be able to save your changes.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">A message appears in the monitor header: \u201c<em>Saving is not allowed because changes have been made to this monitor. Press the refresh button to get the latest version.<\/em>\u201d A Refresh button appears on the far right of the monitor header.<\/p>\n<ol class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Click <strong>Refresh<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<li>Click <strong>Yes<\/strong> in the Lose changes confirmation window.<br \/>\nThe latest monitor details appear on the Monitor tab.<\/li>\n<li>Edit the monitor, then click <strong>Save<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The monitor must be saved for any changes to take effect.
