Database password, the Active Directory (LDAP) password, and the Mail Server password, as well as the passwords for the Web Service and SMS via Web Service actions.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To change one or more passwords:<\/p>\n<ol class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Locate the Sentinel Password Configuration Tool at:<\/li>\n<li><em>Start Menu&gt; All Programs&gt;P2&gt;P2 Sentinel&gt;P2 Sentinel Password Configuration Tool<\/em><\/li>\n<li>Run the <strong>P2 Sentinel Password Configuration Tool<\/strong>.<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" the reporting database.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the reporting database password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>LDAP Password:<\/strong> Active Directory\u00ae user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the Active Directory\u00ae user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Mail Server Password:<\/strong> The mail server user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the mail server user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Web Service Action Password:<\/strong> The web service action user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the web service action user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Web Service Post Process Password:<\/strong> The password for the WebServicePostProcessUserName, for the web service which Sentinel calls when a monitor finishes running.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the post process user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>SMS<\/strong> <strong>Web Service Action Password:<\/strong> The SMS web service action user password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the SMS web service action user password.<\/li>\n<li><strong>P2 Security Super User Password: <\/strong>The password for the user of the Sentinel \u2018Super User\u2019 account name. \u00a0This user needs to have administration permissions for the Sentinel Engine to be able to function correctly.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the security super user password.<\/li>\n<li><strong>R Host User Password: <\/strong>Each R Host process runs with a username and the optionally supplied password.<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Confirm Password: <\/strong>Confirm the R Host user password.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Password Encryption<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To encrypt any password stored in the Sentinel Configuration file, but not listed in the Password Configuration tool:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Click <strong>Encrypt Password.\u00a0<\/strong>The <strong>Encrypt<\/strong> <strong>Password<\/strong> window opens.<\/p>\n<p><img
