This option has been added to better notify Explorer end users when a datasource is unavailable, down for maintenance, and so on.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">When a user in Explorer attempts to use a datasource that is disabled, a message will be displayed to end users either through the data errors on an Explorer page, or the data errors in the trace table of a trend.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Configuration File Update<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">In standard installations, the option to disable a datasource must first be turn on in the <a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/explorer-admin\/serverconfig-xml\/\">ServerConfig.xml<\/a> file.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">1. Open the ServerConfil.xml file, by default this is located at:<\/p>\n<p class=\"code-fragment\">C:\\Program Files\\P2 Energy Solutions\\P2 Explorer\\Configuration\\ServerConfig.xml<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">2. Add the following to the Web group <span class=\"code-fragment\">&lt;ConfigGroup Name=\"Web\"&gt;<\/span>, in the Enabled Features list:<\/p>\n<p class=\"code-fragment\">&lt;Value&gt;DisableDatasource&lt;\/Value&gt;<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">3. In the Services tab of the Configuration tool, restart the services.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">4. Recycle IFS OI Explorer REST API App Pool and IFS OI Explorer Web Management UI App Pool.<\/p>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Disabling the Datasource in Server Management<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">1. To disable the datasource, clear the <strong>Enabled<\/strong> check box.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">4.
