For more, see <a href=\"#Release_History\">Release History<\/a>.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Overview<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The Point Details page shows information about a tag, calculation, or attribute value. It shows a consolidated view of the data point, including properties, related pages and trends, comments, and a simple trend, so you can see where and how the data is being used in the system.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The Point Details page also allows you to:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>View and add comments<\/li>\n<li>Open links to pages and trends that use the data item<\/li>\n<li>Open the data item in a full trend<\/li>\n<li>Change the time range and refresh rate of the mini-trend displayed on the page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<hr \/>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Opening a Point Details Tab<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">For <strong>attribute values<\/strong>, you can open the\u00a0Point Details from:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Right-click menu for a data component on an Explorer Page<\/li>\n<li>Hierarchy Navigator's Attribute Panel<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">For <strong>tags<\/strong> (including a calculation tag), you can open the Point Details from:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Right-click menu for a data component on an Explorer Page<\/li>\n<li>Tags Navigator<\/li>\n<li>Search Page<\/li>\n<li>Point Details page for an Attribute Value (if the attribute value references a tag)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<h3>Right-Click Menu<\/h3>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Page components that display the value of a tag or attribute value have a right-click menu containing a link to the Point Details page for the data point. Open the Hierarchy Navigator.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">2. Locate an entity in a hierarchy, and click it.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">3. Click <strong>Show Attributes<\/strong> to open the Attributes Panel, which displays the attributes for the selected entity.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">4. For example, a 2 years duration might use a <em>12 hours<\/em> sample interval, while a <em>30 minutes<\/em> duration might use a <em>10 seconds<\/em> sample interval.<\/li>\n<li>New Details ribbon tab, which opens for a Point Details page<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<li class=\"intro-text\"><a title=\"Point Detail (4.4.4)\" href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/p2-explorer\/explorer-getting-started\/point-detail\/point-detail-4-4-5\/\">Point Details 4.4.5<\/a>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>The <em>Display Properties<\/em> of a tag appear on the Tag Details page. These details are stored in the tag definition in IFS OI Server.<\/li>\n<li><a href=\"#Calculation_Detail\">Calculation details<\/a>, opened from a Tag Details page, are displayed in a pop-up window that remains open even when the Tag Details page is closed.<\/li>\n<li>References to pages and trends have a larger area now, below the trend, and are grouped into columns.
