This allows greater interactivity between components in a workbook, and provides information with greater context.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">For example, when a user clicks a row in the table, the name of the entity can be published, which in turn could allow an embedded trend on the same page to be updated.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">For entity type fields, the value that is published can be either the name or the display name.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image001-1.png\" rel=\"lightbox-0\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-69837\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image001-1.png\" alt=\"Publish variables in fields\" width=\"300\" height=\"379\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image001-1.png 480w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image001-1-119x150.png 119w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image001-1-38x48.png 38w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">For multi-select lists, a comma-separated list of values is published. For Entry fields (subforms), the ID of the entry is published.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">You can also publish the value of a column that is hidden in the table view.<\/p>\n<p class=\"left-bar\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: The following field types cannot be published to a variable: User, Text \u2013 Multi Line, and Merrick Form.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Changes to entry table columns for on row click selection<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Structural Changes<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">To accommodate publishing of variables from an entry table, and to further simplify how the entry tables work, the following changes have been made to the structure of all entry tables:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>The \u2026 menu has been moved to the left.<\/li>\n<li>The Attachments icon has been moved to the left.<\/li>\n<li>A checkbox has been added on the left for each entry.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Opening an Entry Dialog<\/strong><\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">As a single click is now used to publish variables, the following options have been provided to open an entry dialog:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Click the Details icon on the left.<\/li>\n<li>Click the Details icon from the<\/li>\n<li>Click the ID number in the <strong>ID<\/strong> The ID column is now a link that directly opens the entry dialog with a single click, instead of a double-click.<\/li>\n<li>Double-click elsewhere on a row.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004.png\" rel=\"lightbox-1\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-69838\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004.png\" alt=\"Details icon in entry table\" width=\"693\" height=\"290\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004.png 1358w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004-768x322.png 768w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004-150x63.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004-600x251.png 600w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004-1080x453.png 1080w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004-1280x536.png 1280w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image004-48x20.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 693px) 100vw, 693px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Rules Email Action Supports Azure<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The Email action in the Rules Engine has been updated to support sending emails via an Azure email server.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Two new options have been added to the Rules Engine group in the ServerConfig.xml file to enable Azure Communication Service emailing:<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>MailServerType<\/strong>: Set this to <em>AzureCommunicationServices<\/em> for Azure connections, otherwise set this to <em>smtp<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>MailServerAzureConnectionString<\/strong> should be set to the URL to access the Azure email service, e.g. \"endpoint=https:\/\/mscoe-azure-communication-service.communication.azure.com\/;accesskey=PYYGrvhjhHKenLvRljzrosOJs0wSBQ==\"<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Rules Email Action HTML Rich Text Support<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">In the <strong>Entry Post Processing<\/strong> Rule Type, we have improved the user experience by enabling HTML markup for emails so that they can be sent with coloured text and other markup.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">In previous releases, the Rules Engine only allowed plain text emails. With the addition of HTML markup support in this release, more engaging emails can be sent to notify users of Sentinel events that may require their attention.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">In the \u2018<strong>Send an Email<\/strong>\u2019 action editor, a toggle has been added to enable the rich text editor. This allows you to add the following markups:<\/p>\n<ul class=\"intro-text\">\n<li>Bold, italic, underline<\/li>\n<li>Text size, colour, and highlighting<\/li>\n<li>Links<\/li>\n<li>Tables<\/li>\n<li>Bullet and numbered lists<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p class=\"note\"><strong>Note<\/strong>: Images cannot be inserted, and markup is not applied to tokens.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1.png\" rel=\"lightbox-2\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone  wp-image-69839\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1.png\" alt=\"Rich text formatting option in Email action\" width=\"558\" height=\"430\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1.png 948w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1-768x591.png 768w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1-150x116.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1-600x462.png 600w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image005-1-48x37.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 558px) 100vw, 558px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Rules Web Service Action Header Values<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">In the Call Web Service action for <em>Entry Post Processing<\/em> and <em>Scheduled<\/em> rule types, we have added the ability to add HTTP headers to the URL call.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">These are key-value pairs that are appended to the request header, and support all <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/List_of_HTTP_header_fields\">HTTP methods<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">When the web service is executed, these headers are attached along with request.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">This allows third party services (such as Webex) to be used to push messages. This means that links to workbooks can now be provided a specific context, making it easier for users who open that link to find the information they are looking for.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">This is possible by adding the <strong>periodStartTime<\/strong> variable to the workbook URL or as a Target in Variable Mapping.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">This is a datetime variable which, when set, finds the corresponding shift for the specified datetime and applies it to the shift picker in the workbook.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">If the periodStartTime is in the future, the workbook defaults to the current shift.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">Note that this variable is restricted to shifts in workbooks.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image008.png\" rel=\"lightbox-5\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-69842\" src=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image008.png\" alt=\"Variable mapping\" width=\"327\" height=\"116\" srcset=\"https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image008.png 327w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image008-150x53.png 150w, https:\/\/oihelp.corporate.ifs.com\/help\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/02\/image008-48x17.png 48w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 327px) 100vw, 327px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<h2 class=\"page-subheading\">Consistency Updates for Logsheets and Single Log Forms<\/h2>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The behaviour and colour of fields in Logsheets and Single Log Forms have been reviewed and updated to provide a more consistent user experience across workbooks.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\">The following changes have been made.<\/p>\n<p class=\"intro-text\"><strong>Single Log Form<\/strong><\/p>\n<table width=\"648\">\n<tbody class=\"intro-text\">\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td width=\"204\"><strong>Previous Behaviour<\/strong><\/td>\n<td width=\"444\"><strong>New Behaviour<\/strong><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr style=\"border: 1px solid #cccccc;\">\n<td width=\"204\">Fields set to autofetch had no background colour.<\/td>\n<td width=\"444\">\n<ul>\n<li>Fields set to <strong>autofetch<\/strong> have a <strong>green<\/strong> background colour.
