This ensures that operational logs, observations, or user-created records can reliably point to the correct Work Order.

It improves traceability across operations and maintenance by maintaining consistent relationships between operational entries and associated maintenance actions.

Manual Work Order Creation

Operators can manually initiate maintenance by creating a new Work Order directly from Explorer. When submitted, the Work Order is created in IFS Cloud EAM, and the resulting Work Order identifier is automatically stored in OI.

This provides operational teams with a direct method to request maintenance without relying on automation rules or anomaly detection.

Work Order Status Synchronisation

Work Order statuses are synchronised from IFS Cloud EAM into Explorer, ensuring that lifecycle information remains current. Statuses such as Released, In Progress, Finished, and Cancelled are reflected automatically.

Dynamic Scheduled Rule

A new rule type, Dynamic Scheduled Rule, is now available to support automated creation of recurring entries across multiple entities on a defined schedule.

Dynamic Scheduled Rules create new entries based on an existing entry and a selected reference date field on the form. The rule runs automatically once per day at 1am and uses the reference date to determine when a new entry should be created.

Rules can be applied across multiple entities using hierarchy-based filtering, with new entries created for each matching entity and pre-populated with key values such as the entity and an optional due date. An optional Create Initial setting allows the first entry to be created automatically where no prior entry exists.

Canary Adaptor Support for v24 Authentication

The Canary Adaptor has been updated to support Canary Historian v24 and later, which use an access token for authentication.

A new Access Token field is now available in the datasource configuration. When provided, this access token is used for authentication. The adaptor connects using the updated API endpoint to ensure compatibility with newer Canary versions.

OPC UA Adaptor Support

Communication with the OPC UA protocol has been enabled through the introduction of the OPC UA Adaptor.

The adaptor supports discovery of available nodes and tags from an OPC UA endpoint and allows tag data values to be queried and read. The OPC UA Adaptor is included with the installer and can be deployed as an optional component.

Attachment Activity Added to Auditing for Entries and Cases

The visibility into changes related to attachments was improved by capturing attachment actions such as adding or deleting files in the audit logs for entries and cases.

When an attachment is added or removed, a single audit record is created with details including the date and time of the action, the user who performed it, the field name ("Attachment"), the action type ("Insert" or "Delete"), and the updated value showing the file name and description.

This improvement provides better traceability and accountability for attachment-related changes.

Numeric Data Entry Fields in Rule Conditions

Rule configuration has been enhanced to support numeric Data Entry fields when defining conditions.

Integer and Decimal Data Entry fields are now available in the "Specify the Conditions" section of a rule, allowing numeric values to be used directly in rule logic.

With this update, rules can be created using numeric Data Entry fields and evaluated using appropriate number-based comparisons. This enhancement expands the flexibility of rule definitions and enables more accurate rule evaluation based on numeric data.

Default Form Selection for Case Entry

When creating a new case, if the previously selected form does not belong to the chosen category, the system now automatically selects the first valid form for that category. If there is only one form associated with the category, it is preselected by default.

Previously, when a new case was created and the selected category changed, the form field was left blank if the prior form did not match the new category.

This enhancement streamlines case creation by reducing the need for manual form selection.

IFS OI Explorer version 4.22 introduces EAM integration, dynamic scheduled rules, Canary v24 authentication support, OPC UA adaptor support, attachment activity auditing, numeric rule conditions, and improved form selection for new cases.

[7

post-72462","page","type-page","status-publish","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","category-release-notes","Version-4-22","Product-ex
["GET
